  Step 1. Warming up
  (1) Greeting
  Good morning, boys and girls.
  How are you?
  (2) Talking
  T: Look, there many people in our classroom, today.
  Do you know who are they?
  Step 2. Presentation
  (1)(开门见山引出本课主要句型)
  What do they do ?(他们是什么职业?They are...(课件出示该句型)
  Ss : They are teachers.
  T: Yes ,they are teachers. Are you a teacher. Hao Min?
  S: No, I am not..
  T: What do you do ? (你从事什么职业?) --I am a/an...(课件出示该句型)
  Ask several students to answer this question. Then show a picture of a student, and ask : What does she do?(她是从事什么职业的?)--She is a /an ...(课件出示该句型)
  Show a picture of myself , and ask: What do I do ? -- Ss: You are a teacher. (课件出示)
  Show a picture of myself and my husband. T: He is my husband. He is not a teacher, he works in a hospital. What does he do?(她是从事什么职业的?)--He is a /an ...(课件出示该句型)
  (2)引出新授词汇
  Ss: He is a doctor..
  Show a picture of Gu Tianle with police uniform)
  Is he a doctor? What does he do?--policeman policewoman
  T: Is he really a policeman? Look carefully! --an actor (男演员) actress(女演员)
  (演员在商店购物,引出shop assistant
  T : My mother is a shop assistant.
  操练: My mother is a shop assistant. 询问几个学生:My mother is a shop assistant./ My mother is not a shop assistant. 引出bank clerk.
  T: Ok, we have learned many jobs, open your books P19 1a, find out them, and tell me what other jobs your have found. ______reporter , waiter
  Read the new words . 最后一个名称是student自然过渡到练习1b.
  Step 3. A guessing game
  Practice the new word and the sentence pattern:
  what does he/she do? He /she is a /an....
  Step 4. A Survey
  从猜职业的最后一个职业waiter引出。Do you want to be a waiter?
  一般学生都会说不想,在引出句型:
  what do you want to be? I want to be a /an...
  what does he/she want to be? He /she wants to be a /an...
  询问一部分学生后,进行职业梦想调查。--汇报
  T: Great hopes make a great man.( 伟大的梦想造就伟大的人)(课件显示)进行情感教育。
  Step5. Listening (2a, 2b)and pair work
  (1) T: look , this is Suan's bother. He works very hard because he has a great hope. What does he want to be? What about Anna's mother and Tony's father? Please turn to page 20, let's listen for the first time and number the pictures.
  (2) Listen again (2b)
  (3) Pair work (3)
  Step6. Home work
  1. Ask your parents. What do they want to be?
  2. Review the new words and the dialogue.
